Zensho-ji (temple)
Zensho-ji is the Buddhist temple called and described as "Tenka-jissatsu" that means ten great temples in Japan.
In Heian era Genshin built a hermitage in Sakura-bora Hagiwara, and sculptured wood into a the Goddess of Mercy, at last the hermitage received recognition as a holy ground.
Afterward Emperor Goenyuu sent an errand for praying to have a empress' easy delivery, and it was realized, Prince Gokomatsu was born. For this miraculous efficacy, Emperor Gokomatsu renamed the temple as Entsuu-ji, sent distinguished priests to it, and become a believer.
But Ashikaga decayed and the fires of war extended, the temple burned down. In 1527 Yoritane Miki who venerated its long and honorable history rebuilt it. Myoushuku , a distinguished priest in Myoushin-ji sect, lectured for it.
Now 11 temples are its subordinates. Myoushin-ji sect's exceptional temple.
Basho Matsuo , haiku poet in Edo era, had come to the temple and left a haiku,
